These companies use the software for planning, optimising and managing transport schedules on a daily basis; rationalising fixed routes; planning and modelling at strategic level in own-fleet operations and 3PL business development; scheduling home deliveries continuously as orders are being confirmed; and managing the execution of the transport plan in real time using vehicle tracking technology.
Implementation and support expertise
Paragon's highly skilled team of implementation consultants has over 100 man-years of experience and around 35 implementations under way at any time. Our team can be relied upon to help you deploy the software quickly and effectively in your operation, so that the financial and operational benefits can soon start to accrue.
The result - tangible benefits
As well as cutting transport costs and improving operational efficiency, the Paragon software also enables companies to shorten order lead times, generate more consistent transport schedules, reduce total distance travelled and fuel used, save premium spot-hire costs, smooth warehouse workloads for greater efficiency, provide a calmer transport office and raise customer service performance.
Dedicated in-house development
All our customers benefit from our policy of re-investing over a third of our annual turnover in on-going software development every year. Our unrelenting software development programme, fulfilled by our in-house software development team, provides major upgrades, enhancements, new features and additional modules, as well as specific improvements requested by customers.
International reach
In addition to our UK headquarters, our software is marketed and supported in North America by our wholly owned subsidiary, Paragon Software Systems Inc, and elsewhere by distribution partners in continental Europe, Latin America and South Africa.
Deployment options and standard interfaces
In order to make it easy for you to install the software in your organisation, Paragon has a choice of deployment options and standard interfaces. These include single client PC, multiple networked PCs, or Citrix and thin client configurations with optional internet access. It also has certified "off the shelf" interfaces with several leading vehicle tracking systems, and has been interfaced with numerous enterprise, ordering, production and warehouse management systems.
What makes Paragon different?
"Paragon's mission is to develop and implement transport optimisation and execution systems that provide real benefits for users. We have four fundamental capabilities that have enabled us to do this: a wide range of software options to suit the different ways companies plan and manage their transport operations; advanced scheduling technology which has the flexibility to be configured to meet specific operational needs; continued commitment to developing the software to meet both market and individual company requirements; and an implementation support team that has extensive experience in helping customers set up and use the software. As a result, Paragon users report a wide range of operational benefits."
