Additional Workbench Screens for Multi User Transportation Management Software
Paragon has further extended its deployment options by enabling extra screens to be added to any Paragon planning or monitoring system, providing multi user transportation management capability. This is a cost effective way of making Paragon's optimized transportation plans accessible to others within the organization - whether at the same location or different sites.
While a specialist planner is using the main Paragon system to prepare the operational transportation plan, there will often be a need for others to have direct access to the optimized schedules.
For example: using additional planners speeds up the time-critical activity of finalizing the transportation plans; the allocation of individual drivers and trucks to loads is typically done locally in each DC; real-time monitoring of transportation and service performance against plan using Fleet Controller needs to be accessible to non-planning staff; service departments need to talk to customers about planned arrival times; warehouse staff need visibility of latest dispatch times; and distribution management want an overview of key performance measures, supported by 'drill down' capability.
All these people can be given access to the same Paragon transportation management system - simply by the addition of extra Paragon screens that are connected over a network.
