Paragon Software Systems is seeking a Software Implementation and Support Consultant. Their primary role will be to provide customer service and pre- and post-sales technical support to new and existing clients. The role involves working with new and existing clients to implement Paragon systems and support their ongoing use of the software. This varied role involves working on-site with clients, and the candidate will be expected to travel throughout the UK and internationally. Candidates should be of graduate calibre with advanced PC skills, a good logical approach to problem solving and some experience in the distribution industry. A typical implementation involves a combination of time on site and office/home based preparation. Pre-Sales Support involves preparation of Paragon test data and attendance at sales presentations/web demos to assist the sales lead in presenting the results back to prospects and addressing any associated technical questions.
The Support Consultant is the main point of client contact for dealing with technical queries and is responsible for disseminating client feedback to the relevant departments within Paragon.
This role requires:
- Excellent people skills and a sound technical ability.
- Enthusiasm for learning about new technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A consultative approach to problem solving.
- Experience of organising and providing training courses.
- Some experience of presenting to senior levels of management.
- Communication with all levels of an organization.
- Providing occasional out of hours support.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Pre-sales and post-sales experience would be an advantage.
Successful applicants will be expected to have:
- A good BSc/ BA Hons degree or experience in a relevant discipline
- Excellent PC and MS Office skills.
- Knowledge of centrally deployed software.
- Knowledge of implementing logistics software.
- A good logical approach to problem solving.
- Experience in a logistics environment preferred but not essential.
- Some experience of SQL and SAP Crystal Reports.
In this important role, the successful candidate will work from our office in Dorking, Surrey. Following an initial training period the successful candidate will be expected to travel throughout the UK. Occasional international travel may also be required.
