Chilled dairy foods company, Dairy Crest, has selected Paragon's single depot routing and scheduling software for the daily planning of store deliveries from two dairies and two 'super dairies', as it looks to increase planning efficiency, at the same time retaining its current high levels of customer service.
Integration is currently underway and will be supplemented by strategic versions of the Paragon software at each site, enabling Dairy Crest to model future local strategy. At the same time, following the recent acquisition of Express Dairies, the company has purchased Paragon's Integrated Fleets software tool to enable centralized modeling and new business development planning at its head office.
At Dairy Crest's main DC, Paragon will also include Navteq street level maps to provide the level of detail required for city center distribution.
"Dairy Crest's deployment benefits from Paragon's ability to operate in a Citrix environment, which provides essential future-proofing for both its daily and strategic planning capability," confirms Charles Nockold, marketing and business development director, Paragon.
