Whereas our Paragon Single Depot and Paragon Multi Depot products manage truck routes that only deliver from their own distribution center, Paragon Integrated Fleets enables truck fleets at different DCs to interact - providing even more transportation efficiencies.

This is suitable for more complex transportation operations, such as involving multiple DCs with different product ranges at each, or where you want to combine pickups and deliveries on the same truck routes. For example, a truck from one DC can be scheduled to make some customer deliveries and then pick up its next load from another warehouse or DC for delivery on the way back to its base. This creates route schedules with efficient backhauls that reduce your empty mileage, improve productivity and reduce total transportation costs.

It is also used for creating or updating fixed delivery routes and schedules for truck fleets and for daily operational transportation planning.

How does the software work?

The software uses our most advanced optimization algorithms combined with digital mapping to generate efficient practical routes and schedules, with trucks able to pick up loads from other DCs, warehouses or manufacturing sites in order to maximize overall transportation efficiency. This takes account of your customer locations and delivery requirements, promised time windows, unloading rates, speed variations, truck capacities, fleet sizes, DC locations, and driver shift details, as well as transportation parameters describing the practicalities of your operations. Once the routes have been generated, you can review them using the map-based Paragon Workbench screen to check performance KPIs and make any final adjustments.
