Dairy Crest, the UK’s premier chilled dairy foods company, has selected Paragon’s single depot routing and scheduling software for the daily planning of store deliveries from two dairies and two ‘super dairies’ across the UK, as it looks to increase transport planning efficiency, at the same time retaining its current high levels of customer service.

Integration is currently under way and will be supplemented by strategic versions of the Paragon software at each site, enabling Dairy Crest to model future local strategy. At the same time, following the recent acquisition of Express Dairies, the company has purchased Paragon’s Integrated Fleets software tool to enable centralised modelling and new business development planning at its Esher head office.

At Dairy Crest’s London dairy in Chadwell Heath, Paragon will also include Street Level Mapping to provide the level of detail required for city centre distribution.

“Dairy Crest’s deployment benefits from Paragon’s ability to operate in a Citrix environment, which provides essential future-proofing for both its daily and strategic transport planning capability,” confirms Charles Nockold, marketing and business development director, Paragon.
