Paragon Software Systems, Inc., a leader in vehicle routing and scheduling optimization solutions, announces that President & CEO William Salter has been named a Provider Pros to Know for 2014 by Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine. William was chosen for leading the Paragon team to create award-winning solutions that reduce transportation costs by lowering mileage, reducing fuel usage, and optimizing routes.

“It is an honor to be selected for the “Provider Pros to Know” award and to be acknowledged among so many great leaders in the supply chain industry,” said William Salter, CEO of Paragon Software Systems. “With the right technology to effectively manage, plan, and schedule optimal routes for fleets, companies can lower transportation costs, improve customer service, and improve resource efficiencies and utilization.”

“Our annual list of Provider Pros to Know highlights the many thought-leaders who are helping to shape the supply chain industry and advance supply chain as a respected discipline in the enterprise,” said Barry Hochfelder, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Their efforts in developing the tools, processes and knowledge base necessary for supply chain transformation, and in promoting new approaches to supply chain enablement, have earned them a place on this year’s Provider Pros listing.”

William has been with Paragon for over 15 years and has played a major part in the company’s success within the routing and scheduling software market. William took over the role of CEO in 2002 and held the position of Sales Director prior to that. In this role William has been involved in numerous client implementations and has worked with the rest of the management team to help steer the company to its position as the world’s market leader and supplier of choice for many leading blue chip companies.

Now in its 14th year, the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Provider “Pros to Know” award recognizes individuals from software firms, service providers, consultancies or academia who have helped their supply chain clients or the supply chain community prepare to meet industry challenges. The men and women honored in the 2014 “Pros to Know” awards make up the leading providers and practitioners of the supply chain who proactively work to improve their business’s functions in a number of categories—including manufacturing and production output; procurement; logistics; risk mitigation strategies; sourcing; financial operations; packaging and distribution; transportation; and much more.

The full listing of the 2014 Pros to Know will be available in the March issue of Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine and e-book beginning in early March and on the Supply & Demand Chain Executive Web site at www.sdcexec.com.
