Paragon Software Systems is pleased to report that Team MSS is making good progress in the Indian Ocean Rowing Race. The vehicle routing, scheduling and transport solutions specialist, is sponsoring Guy Watts and Andrew Delaney in their world record attempt to row across the Indian Ocean in the aid of Orchid – the male cancer charity.

The team has been at sea for over a month in its rowing boat, Flying Ferkins, and has covered over a quarter of their 3,780 nautical mile journey from Western Australia to Mauritius. Enduring bad weather, heavy seas and close encounters with sharks, Watts and Delaney remain upbeat about their prospects of completing the adventure. These challenging conditions have caused several other teams to retire from the race.

The team’s progress can be viewed online at http://www.indianoceanrowingrace09.com/ and the team’s blog can be read at http://blog.indianoceanrace.com/.

The Indian Ocean Rowing Race is the ‘world’s toughest ocean rowing race’ and is a massive physical and mental undertaking that is expected to take some 90 days to complete. If they succeed, Watts and Delaney will be the first and youngest pair ever to cross the Indian Ocean using a rowing boat.
